I personally hate counting calories, Here I can offer  practical things you can do on a daily basis to ensure that you and your family are nourished.

Half of your plate should be Vegetables 

The other half is divided into two equal portions. One is filled with a lean protein, the other with a whole-grain or starchy vegetable.

Measure out a serving size using a small cup or take a handful and put it on a plate. Then close the bag, and put it away. This goes for any kind of snack food you buy from bags, boxes, and containers. 

 

The trick is to use the measurement of your handful for snacks :)

My Top 5 Favorite Foods - High in Fiber & Protein - They can lower your anxiety and help you feel less hungry : 

1. Almonds

2. Apple

3. Oatmeal

4. Raw Vegetables

5. Cottage Cheese

Have a coffee made with skim milk for dessert. You can ad some cinnamon and Splenda/Stevia so you could satisfy that sweet tooth and feel satisfied. 

I recommend for you to brush your teeth or have a mint sugar free gum after you are done with your meal! It will make you stop eating!!!
